On returning from his successful and amazing feat of sailing around Britain and Ireland non-stop in a mini 6.5, a world's first, Ben was able to rest for a ½ day before he was back unpacking and sorting out his boat, working and getting ready for Cowes week!

Ben Rogerson and his Mini-Transat 6.50m yacht 'Mini Minx' triumphant with successful completion of 1,924 Nautical Mile Solo Non-Stop Round Britain & Ireland Passage at 0625 hrs UTC Saturday 25 July 2009 in a total of 15 days 3 hours and 8 minutes. This is the first Mini-Transat 6.50m to achieve this feat and we believe the first boat of this size of any design to do so.

Congratulations - Ben and Mini Minx have done it! Solo Non-stop around Great Britain and Ireland!. hoorah!

1200 UTC Monday 20th July 2009 - 1,300 nautical miles completed - having rounded the tip of the British Isles on Friday - Ben and 'Mini Minx' have had a rough couple of days and are now fast approaching the North West tip of Ireland - and another dose of 30 knots + winds on Tuesday.

Friday 3rd July - 1800 hrs - team confirms that last preparations of 'Mini Minx' are nearly complete and all is on schedule for departure from Cowes early next week. Saturday 4th July - 1200 hrs - shake-down sail and systems check plus Cowes Online TV Video crew capturing footage .

Sunday 5th July - 1200 hrs - Ben Rogerson and team go on standby for departure as soon as weather for next 7 days provides a decent runway.
